Questions
Q: Is your panel actively managed or just a data base?
A: Our Canadian Consumer panel is an actively managed community of respondents. Respondents are recruited from a multitude of sources, including online and office, and all panelists have double opt-in.
Our panel manager interacts with panelist on a daily basis. It is our goal to respond to all emails sent from panelists within a 48-hour period.
Q: Have you panel members clearly opted-in? If so, what is a double opt-in?
A: Members of ResearchByNet panel are at least double opted-in. Panelists provide their email address as a request for membership. Upon receipt of their email address they are asked to reconfirm their desire to join NetPanel by completing a registration survey and agreeing to the terms and conditions. In addition panelists opt-in again every time they click on their unique survey link and attempt to complete a survey.
Q: What do panel members get in return for participating?
A: Panel members are rewarded NetPoints for each survey they attempt. NetPoints can be redeemed for cash. The amount of points a panelist can earn depends on the length of the survey and if they qualify or disqualify for the survey.
Q: What are likely response rates and how is the response rate calculated?
A: Response rates vary depending on factors such as length, complexity, topic, quality of the survey design and time of year. Our Canadian Consumer panel runs a response rate of 20 to 30%. Response rates are measured by the number of responses received compared to the number of emails sent.
Q: Do you supply sample only?
A: Yes, we do supply sample only. Contact Carrie Moyer, Director of Online Research to discuss your sample requirements.
